The MSHS Choir is performing at South on Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. The choir has been practicing for about a month and a half during third and fourth blocks.

This week they are practicing extra hard by staying after school to get in some more practice time.

“I am very excited about the play because it is all about Christmas, and I have a solo,” Hope Astle, 11, said.

Some of the songs the choir plans to perform are “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” “Christmas Shopping Blues,” and about ten other classic holiday songs. The performance is expected to run about one-and-a-half hours.

“My favorite part about the show is getting to perform on stage, and showing everyone my talent,” Astle said.

The show has around eight solos, with six smaller solos, and two larger ones. The two main solo songs are “I’ll be Home for Christmas” from Kyla Bolling, 12, and “Santa Baby” by Astle.
