The Earth Science teachers, Blake Smith and Jed Heath, took students enrolled in class this semester to the Cosmosphere on Mar. 14, and the science department plans to continue to do this next semester.

“Our plan for now is to keep going to the Cosmosphere for each year,” Jed Heath said. “But we might try to go to the Hutchinson Salt Mine next year.”

There were 79 students who attended the Cosmosphere and stayed the whole day.

“We did a mission to mars to save an astronaut,” Halle Zwetow, 9, said. “We saw a movie, and went on a tour around the whole museum.”

When the kids came back, they told their favorite parts.

“What interested me the most was the mission to mars,” James Evans, 9, said. “Because I got stuck in the gas chamber.”

Over all the students enjoyed the trip.

“I would definitely suggest they do this again next year,” Tanner Blaske, 9, said.
