Varsity football played at Andale for the title of District Champion on Oct. 27. The game was a loss for South, the final score 48-6.

“We had lots to learn about last night’s game, and I will use that for the next time we play,” Zach Tilson, 12, said.

Wes Phillips, 11, scored the touchdown for South during the first quarter and Nevada Harlan, 11, blocked a one-point conversion kick.

“We have at least one more game,” Harlan said, “I think we could do better next time because we didn’t play to our full potential.”

The team now has five wins with four losses. They play Mulvane for District Playoffs. Joe Hobert, 12, has a new football goal: beat Mulvane.

“My goal for last night’s game was to bring home the district title, but we played bad and now we’ve got to change that,” Hobert said.
